4 hour course.

The students are bilingual. Now what? Translanguaging is a term used for a skill that engages students' language, bilingualism, and understanding of linguistic, social and cultural structures. As students develop their duolingualism, they slowly come into an understanding of linguistic structures that don't always translate as expected. The next step for dual language learners is to apply these various aspects of culture and language to be able to understand others while aiming to be understood. Come prepared for new ideas and a greater understanding of how to help our emergent bilinguals become successful lifelong communicators in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
